#14. Smudged

My hands find her eyes from behind the big arm chair and close over them.

She doesn’t let go of the book she’s reading; instead I feel her smile and rolling her eyes.

I laugh and put my lips to her ear lobes, tenderly kissing and biting it. I move over to her forehead, without losing contact with her skin.

I release my hands over her eyes, kissing them, then moving to her nose, her cheeks.

I find her mouth, but i don’t kiss it. I move down, towards her exposed shoulder and neck and collar bone.

As soon as my lips touches her neck, she moans. I’m a goner.

She pulls me closer, and I have to move towards the front, which, frankly, is how i should’ve started in the first place.

I take her book out of her hand and toss it behind me. She protests a bit, but when i find her soft spot, I made sure all she thought about was me.

And this moment.

Something I kept imagining in class instead of listening. I wish I went at least halfway, but I like it here, like this.

This is the Spring Palette for the Heart, by Parvathi and Me.

#29. No one arrived

*knock knock*

I get up from the comfortable

pillow and your warm embrace

and pull on some clothes.

I smile to myself

thinking about the great night

we had.

*knock knock*

The time is 3:42 AM.

Unless it is extremely important,

I don’t know anybody

who could be here at this time.

I open the door slightly.

Nobody is here.

I frown and close the door.

*knock knock*

Now it’s behind me.

I swivel around

to see you leaning

against the bedroom door

you sharp features softened

by the silvery moonlight

looking more beautiful and more desired

than I have ever felt.

You pull me closer

against your body

your skin to my clothes

as it soon becomes,

your skin

to my skin.

Sorry about the absence. I tried my best at this. I intended it to become something, but it turned out to be something else. Not disappointed though! Next is last!

#28. A Fuse Too Short

It was late

when I got home.

You were already prepping up

to sleep,

with a scowl that

explained a broken promise.

I swear, I didn’t do it on purpose.

You wouldn’t listen, so

I decide to take a bath.

I turn on the shower

let it become hot,

while I strip.

And I look up,

a dark blob lurking outside the

shower curtain.

I grin, and

open up the shower curtain fully

and pull you

by the hand.

You shriek in surprise

but I swallowed them all.

I made sure you were dry,

as wet clothes are harder to take off

and I begin to show you just

how much I love you.

And, I’m back with my cheesy, romantic poems 😀

#29: Legacies of Ruin

Your mouth hangs open

at the huge box of gifts.

I angle the camera on the tripod

towards you.

I want to be able to cherish forever.

Any lover would be

content with just that look

on your face.

But not me.

I have more in store

and I can’t wait

to let you experience it.

#25: Fresh Dirt from an Old Grave

As I dig the soil,

making way for new seeds,

A deja vu moment

took me back,

fifty years ago.

My wrinkled gnarled hands were

replaced with smooth skinned,

strong ones,

beside yours.

And i smile, as that moment

seemed to stretch infinitely,

as I joined you,

beside you,

in the ground.

#24: Temptation between my teeth

😉

You need little naughty in life, fictional or not.

I drag my fingers across

the surface, collecting dark substance

on my fingertips.

She watches my,

carefully, and gauges my expression as

I put them in my mouth,

moan with the pure pleasure

of having to taste

the best chocolate ever made.

#21: Motel Pools after 2

I have no idea. Please forgive me for the bad poem.

I stare at you from

across the surface of the water

you, swimming naked

and me, in shorts,

dangling my feet.

You make your way to me,

hold my gaze

and my hand,

and pull me forward.
